Young Actors' Theatre's Award-Winning Cast to Present LES MISERABLES July 18-22, 2007 at the Sherwood Auditorium in La Jolla

By Popular Demand, Spring Valley-Based Youth Theatre Group to Reprise Its Award-Winning Production of Legendary Musical

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - July 10, 2007) - Young Actors' Theatre, a premier non-profit theater production organization offering a full range of theatrical training for young aspiring actors, today announced that its award-winning, all-student cast will present LES MISERABLES, the world's most popular musical, July 18-22, 2007 at the La Jolla's Sherwood Auditorium. This is Young Actors' Theatre's encore "re-mount" of its acclaimed LES MISERABLES production, which, earlier this year, earned the company a coveted NYT (National Youth Theatre) Award for both "Best Actor" and "Outstanding Ensemble."

"This is the third consecutive year that Young Actors' Theatre productions have been honored with an award," notes Jean M. Isaac, executive director of Young Actors' Theatre. "I am so incredibly proud of our young actors who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to each and every production, and execute with infectious passion and fervor. Watching these young actors perform LES MISERABLES will take your breath away."

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, LES MISERABLES is an epic saga that sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th century France. Full of romance, passion, suspense and humanity, it is also the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert in a lifelong struggle to evade capture. LES MISERABLES is the winner of over 50 international Theatre awards, including eight 1987 Tony Awards. The Broadway production ended its 16-year run on May 18, 2003 and is the second-longest running show in Broadway history.

Young Actors' Theatre's LES MISERABLES reprisal will take stage at the beautiful Sherwood Auditorium, located at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 700 Prospect Street, La Jolla, CA 92037. More information on the production and ticket sales can be accessed online at www.yatsandiego.org. Or, you may reach Young Actors' Theatre via telephone at 619-670-1627. Ticket prices are $25 for VIP seats in the first 4 rows, or regular seats are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
