AmeraMex International Ships $3 Million Order to Stevedoring Company
CHICO, CA--(Marketwire - July 11, 2007) - AmeraMex International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AMMX),
a provider of heavy equipment to stevedoring, construction, logging and
mining companies, announced today that it has completed the shipment of six
THDC-975 Loaded Container Handlers to a large, well known stevedoring
company with 20 offices nationwide. The name of the company was not
disclosed for competitive reasons.
Stevedoring companies use container handlers for the loading and unloading
of goods onto and off of ships. AmeraMex has supplied ergonomically
designed loaded container handlers with minimum effort pilot controls and
decreased noise level. The handlers provide the stevedores with heavy load
handling capabilities through the use of a three-speed modulated powershift
transmission and a rugged high-strength all-weld chassis and frame. The
handlers have a rated capacity of 90,000 pounds in the first and second
tiers and 80,000 pounds in the third and fourth tiers. Each handler
arrives with full support data and a 12-month or 2,000 hours warranty. All
new equipment shipped by AmeraMex after January 2007 is tier III compliant
as required by the EPA.
"The sales and marketing investments made to penetrate the stevedore
industry are beginning to pay off handsomely," commented AmeraMex CEO and
President Lee Hamre. "During the first six months of 2007, sales into the
stevedore industry generated approximately 50 percent of our revenue. We
expect to announce several new contracts with stevedore companies over the
next several weeks. These domestic and multi-national companies are
providing stevedoring services to ports located on the East and West Coast
of the United States."
According to AmeraMex's CFO Warren Murphy, the company expects to release
shortly its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2006 and
the six-month period ended June 30, 2007.
