Sage Software Ships Updated Sage Fundraising Software for United Way Organizations

Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition Enhanced With New Integrated Payment Processing Capabilities, Ad Hoc Reporting Tools, Microsoft Outlook Integration

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - July 12, 2007) - Sage Software announced today the availability of Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition, version 6.0. The updated version of the company's software for North American United Way organizations features access to an integrated payment processing solution through Sage Software's Sage Payment Solutions (formerly Verus Card Services); a new Adhoc Common Receivables table; new Extras and Alerts functionality; a new, optional integration with Microsoft® Outlook's Task and Calendar features; enhancements to the Projects and Tasks, Grants Management, and Endowment Management modules; new Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) functionality; and additional ease-of-use enhancements.

Offering a full suite of fundraising management and development tools, including functionality for managing United Way workplace campaigns, Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition now features an optional integration with Sage Payment Solutions to provide customers with a complete payment processing solution right from their Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition desktop. By integrating their United Way software for fundraising with Sage Payment Solutions, United Way organizations can increase both the efficiency of their installment processing and the security of their donors' information.

Improved ad hoc reporting is provided through the new Common Receivables table, containing combined records for each pledge, gift, event, or membership to give customers easier access to this data for ad hoc reports and criteria. A new, optional integration to Microsoft's Outlook Task and Calendar features helps Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition users keep their projects and tasks on schedule with two-way integration, manual synchronization, and real-time integration. United Way organizations can also deepen their campaign analysis by exporting detailed campaign information to Excel spreadsheets.

"The ability to export the Campaign Information screens to spreadsheets will be a valuable feature for our campaign staff," said Jillian Tausky, systems and database manager for United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries in Cambridge, Ontario, and United Way of Guelph and Wellington in Guelph, Ontario, and a Sage Software customer since 2000. "Similarly, the new Common Receivables source will simplify the ad hoc writing process for newer users."

Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition's new comprehensive Extras view allows United Way organizations to easily connect their constituent data to outside sources, such as spreadsheets, PDFs, and Web sites. New functionality allows customers to connect multiple notes, attributes, attachments, and links to every table where a single note currently exists, giving them an even more comprehensive picture of their constituents and constituent interactions. Complementing the Extras functionality are new context-sensitive alerts, appearing only where customers specify.

"The new Extras functionality will help our campaign team find and input information more quickly," said Angela Cake, information systems specialist for United Way of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, a Sage Software customer since 1996. "Other new features, like the option to export detailed campaign information into spreadsheets, and the separate screen for assigning coordinator tasks, will also help us work more efficiently."

To further assist United Way organizations with fundraising, fund management, donor relationship management, and reporting tasks, Sage Fundraising 100 - Rainbow Edition was updated with new functionality for the Projects and Tasks, Grants Management, and Endowment Management modules; new Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) functionality; and additional ease-of-use enhancements.
