AmeraMex International Receives $3 Million Order for Container Handlers
Stevedoring Industry Growth Boosts AmeraMex Revenue
CHICO, CA--(Marketwire - July 18, 2007) - AmeraMex International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AMMX),
a provider of heavy equipment to stevedoring, construction, logging and
mining companies, announced today that it has received a $3 million order
for six loaded container handlers from a large worldwide container
transportation and logistics service provider with locations in the
Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Middle East. AmeraMex
expects to ship the container handlers, which are EPA Tier III compliant,
by the end of July. AmeraMex does not disclose customers' names without
prior approval.
"We are working with some of the largest stevedoring companies within the
industry and expect to secure several sizable orders over the next few
months," commented AmeraMex President and CEO Lee Hamre. "Last week we
announced the shipment of a $3 million order for container handlers to a
large stevedoring company headquartered in the U.S. We anticipate the
stevedore industry to generate approximately 50 percent of our revenue for
2007."
"AmeraMex accounts for revenue when orders are shipped to its customers,"
commented AmeraMex CFO Warren Murphy. "Next quarter we will start to
provide, on a quarterly basis, what we have classified as a 'manufacturers'
backlog.' These numbers will contain the booked orders we have received
from customers, but not yet shipped. We believe this information will
assist our shareholders and members of the financial community to better
understand the difference between the timing of orders and recognition of
revenue. Some of our orders can be backlogged as much as 12 months with the
manufacturer before they are shipped," added Murphy.
Container handlers are used for the loading and unloading of containerized
goods onto and off of ships. AmeraMex supplies ergonomically designed
loaded container handlers with minimum effort pilot controls and decreased
noise level. The handlers provide the stevedores with heavy load handling
and a rugged, high-strength, all-weld chassis and frame. Each handler
arrives with full support data and a 12-month or 2,000 hours warranty.
