EnergySolutions CFO Promoted to Vice Chairman, Elected to Board of Directors


SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - July 19, 2007) - EnergySolutions announced today J. I. "Chip" Everest II has been elected to the Board of Directors and has been promoted to Vice Chairman directing the strategy of the company. With the rapid international expansion of the company and the Initial Public Offering, the Board of Directors has determined that expansion of the Executive team will assure continued excellent operations.

Mr. Everest's first assignment will be to secure his replacement as Chief Financial Officer. He will serve in that capacity until his replacement is on board.
