Resource America, Inc. Authorizes Share Repurchase Plan and Declares Quarterly Dividend

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - July 26, 2007) - Resource America, Inc. (NASDAQ : REXI ) (the
"Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized a new
share repurchase plan by the Company of up to $50 million of its
outstanding shares. This replaces the existing plan authorized in
September 2004.
Repurchases may be made from time to time through open market purchases or
privately negotiated transactions at the discretion of the Company and in
accordance with the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission, as
applicable. The amount and timing of any repurchases will depend on market
conditions.
In addition, the Board has authorized the payment of a cash dividend on
August 31, 2007 in the amount of $0.07 per share of the Company's common
stock to all holders of record at the close of business on August 17, 2007.
The Company has issued a cash dividend for forty-nine consecutive quarters.
