Dog Fighting PSA Released by Last Chance for Animals

Vick Case Helps Animal Rights Group Spread Message

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - July 27, 2007) - Last Chance for Animals (LCA), a national animal rights organization based in Los Angeles, is releasing a 30-second Dog Fighting PSA. The PSA is appropriate for all media outlets and, most importantly, tells people what they can do to help! LCA has been trying to raise public awareness on animal fighting issues for over 20 years, but because of the Vick case, animal abuse is getting the attention it deserves.

LCA has received numerous emails and phone calls about the Vick case. People want to get involved and help because they were shocked to discover that dog fighting runs rampant through streets, backyards and organized arenas across the country. LCA is seeing an unusually high amount of interest to join the fight against animal abuse.

LCA is familiar with this fight. Through our countless undercover investigations, LCA has become known as the "FBI of Animal Rights." In May, LCA's Special Investigations Unit provided information that led to the nation's largest cockfighting raid. Last week, the HBO documentary, "Dealing Dogs," detailing LCA's investigation into the ugly world of pet theft, garnered two Emmy Nominations.
