Following are the highlights:
* Net Sales: Up 18.1% Y/Y (Record High) * Operating Income: Up 0.5% Y/Y * Income before Tax: Up 20.0% Y/Y * Net Income: Up 25.6% Y/Y * Record quarterly sales reflecting expanded scope of consolidation. All business segments except "Machinery" advanced Y/Y. * Operating Income up only slightly Y/Y due in part to continued revamp of newly acquired businesses. * Income before Tax and Net Income rose, reflecting weaker yen against the U.S. dollar. * Diluted EPS: 74.63 yen
