Finding Your Inner Lenin -- Taking Responsibility for Global Change

DOUGLAS, Alaska, Aug. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- How does a society absorbed in short-term self-interest, group think, moral confusion, and the cowboy problem change itself? What will it take for people who share common values to bring about social change? Author John Jensen answers with the release of his new book Finding Your Inner Lenin: Taking Responsibility for Global Change.

From the first phone call people make to a friend about a problem, Jensen explains their critical next steps: understanding the barriers they face, clarifying core values, unifying their viewpoint, enlisting high quality thinking, overcoming disagreements to develop solid working relationships, combining efforts in excellent group work, and guiding public effort.

The title reflects Jensen's assertion that anyone can originate a direction, has an "inner Lenin" capable of advancing an idea. This book explains how to communicate it to others so that more can draw from it. A friend of the author called the book "a psychological walking tour through the processes that will bring about social change."

Those concerned with national direction or problems in the world, or who volunteer already will find inspiration, support, and direction in these pages. They'll understand how to bring divergent groups together, and how even a few committed people can have a significant impact on their state or community.
