Law Enforcement Associates to Exhibit at Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VI (FPED VI)

YOUNGSVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - August 13, 2007) - Law Enforcement Associates Corporation (LEA) (AMEX: AID), a leading provider of surveillance and security products to the global law enforcement, military, security and corrections markets, today announced it will participate at the 2007 Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VI (FPED VI) being held August 14-16 at Stafford Regional Airport in Stafford, VA, and at the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Quantico, VA. The event is the largest of its kind and will feature live demonstrations of commercial off-the-shelf equipment solutions to force protection and physical security challenges.

LEA will demonstrate a range of surveillance and security products, including its Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS), an advanced ground-based camera system that has been deployed with government, military and commercial customers worldwide. The company will also exhibit its Smith & Wesson-branded UVIS Swift, a compact and portable version of the UVIS, as well as the Smith & Wesson-branded EDK (Explosive Detection Kit) and the FLIR Flashsight® thermal imaging scope.

LEA has participated in each of the five prior FPEDs, which is held every two years and is sponsored by the Department of Defense, the Joint Staff, the Department of Energy, the National Institute of Justice and the Technical Support Working Group. It is open to civilian and military members of the Department of Defense and to personnel from other Federal departments and agencies, state and local law enforcement, and corrections agencies with an interest in the planning and employment of force protection and physical security. The demonstration was initiated by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a result of the bombing at Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia on June 25, 1996.
