ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., Aug. 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, a charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced the resounding success of its annual Par Fore Kids Golf Classic. Hosted by Friends of Canyon Acres (FOCAS) and the Yorba Linda Country Club, a sellout crowd of 36 foursomes generated $65,000 net to help the children Canyon Acres serves. The event took place Monday, July 23rd.
"We are very pleased with the success of this event and are grateful to everyone who contributed their time and money," said Erin Lastinger, event chair and board member for Canyon Acres. "The proceeds will help us continue providing vital services to the severely abused and neglected children in our care."
The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, a live auction and a hole-in-one contest. Sponsors included KOCE, Wells Fargo, Wilson Automotive Group, The Kent H. Landsberg Co. and the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation. Winners were Joe Martelli, Marco Martelli, Mark Rubel and former Montreal Expos player and LA Dodgers batting coach Tim Wallach.

"Funds raised from this event will help us continue to provide care and services to the children of Canyon Acres."
