Mr. Ponicki has 30 years of banking experience working for both national and community banks with a focus on commercial and retail banking. Mr. Ponicki's broad-based banking background has allowed him to develop a strong commitment to quality, value and customer satisfaction. These traits coupled with Mr. Ponicki's leadership skills will help to leverage business opportunities for the Wisconsin market.

Mr. Ponicki started his banking career at Harris Bank in Chicago, and spent 18 years at First Chicago/NBD/Bank One. During his tenure at Bank One, Mr. Ponicki served in credit management for several years, spending part of his time there as the Chief Credit Officer for a $600 million, five-bank community banking group. From credit administration, Mr. Ponicki led the development of a new small business group, and later was named Regional Executive following the merger of First Bank Chicago, NBD and Bank One. In this role, Mr. Ponicki built a high-performance relationship management team. As Mr. Ponicki rounded out his career at Bank One, he led Bank One's Small Business Banking group.

Following Bank One, Mr. Ponicki joined Cole Taylor Bank, a $3 billion business bank, to reinvigorate their business banking function, and manage the branch network, customer service and community development lending. While at Cole Taylor, Mr. Ponicki developed successful strategies and action plans that accelerated growth of assets, sales and profits.
