When real estate company Sponda Plc published its interim report on 3 May 2007,
it stated that it was building 21,500 m2 of retail premises in the Itäkeskus
district of Helsinki at Vanhanlinnantie 3. In addition there will be parking
space for roughly 650 cars. Construction work started in May 2007 and the
project will be completed by the end of 2008. The estimated total investment in
the retail premises will be about EUR 56 million. The property has been fully
leased to HOK Elanto.
The Prisma Itäkeskus store will operate on two floors of the retail premises.
The grocery and household goods departments will be located on the ground floor,
which will also contain smaller retail premises that complement Prisma's
offering.
“We have systematically aimed to increase our service offering for our
customer-owners in the eastern part of Helsinki,” says Jorma Aromäki, manager of
HOK-Elanto's Prisma chain.
