Technology Credit Union Opens Its Tenth Financial Center -- Third Location in the East Bay

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - Technology Credit Union (Tech CU) is pleased to announce the opening on Monday, August 20th of its newest full-service Financial Center in the East Bay located in Newark at 34887 Newark Boulevard.

Tech CU has three East Bay financial centers which are located in Dublin, Fremont and now Newark, and its membership is open to anyone living, working, going to school or worshipping in Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Cruz, San Mateo and San Francisco counties. Its other 7 locations are located in San Jose (2 offices), Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Mountain View, Milpitas and Santa Clara. A third location in San Jose is planned to open by year-end.

To celebrate the opening, Tech CU is currently offering an exclusive Certificate rate special that is available exclusively at the Newark location -- 6.00% APY for 6 months, requiring only $1,000 to open. Also on opening day, members who opened a new account or made a transaction received a $5 Jamba Juice card.

    applications for its scholarship program for incoming high school seniors
    (graduating in 2008) planning to attend college, totaling $10,000. For more

--  Community Beautification Project: Tech CU has partnered with United We
    Paint, a community outreach program that solicits volunteers, donations and
    materials for beautification projects in targeted communities. On Saturday,
    October 6th, Tech CU will sponsor a United We Paint initiative in Newark
    which will paint the home-based daycare business of Carol Stevenson, a
    breast cancer survivor who also suffers from chronic arthritis. Having
    established her daycare in 1994, Ms. Stevenson has cared for hundreds of
    children in the Newark area, offering affordable daycare for working moms
