NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced component changes in the Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 Index and the Dow Jones Japan Titans 100 Index.
Effective before the open of trading on Monday, September 24, 2007, FastWeb S.p.A. (Italy, Telecommunications, FWB.Mx) will be deleted from the Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 Index and replaced by IFIL Investments S.p.A. Ord (Italy, Financial Services, IFL .MI) and Sega Sammy Holdings Incorporated (Japan, Personal & Household Goods, 6460.TO; SGAMY) will be deleted from the Dow Jones Japan Titans 100 Index and replaced by Nikon Corporation (Japan, Personal & Household Goods, 7731.TO; NINOY).
The components are being removed due to the "Early Removal Rule." The rule is applied when a component is not among the 60 largest companies in the Dow Jones Global Indexes country index when ranked by float-adjusted market capitalization at the conclusion of a regular quarterly review
