VideoIQ(R), Inc. Adds Live Streaming Video and Email Service to 800HD Smart Analyzer

New Product Enhancements Ideal for Remote Guarding and Self-Monitored Systems

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - September 24, 2007) - ASIS -- VideoIQ®, Inc. today introduced a major upgrade that includes live streaming video and email service capabilities, making the VideoIQ 800HD Smart Video Analyzer ideal for remote guarding and self-monitored systems. With these combined new features, guards and remote facility managers can quickly and easily detect intruders and respond to incidents by receiving email alerts and video clips, and viewing live video anytime, anywhere.

"Today, over 95% of video surveillance cameras go unmonitored, which means they offer no proactive ability to respond to events and actually prevent crime. In contrast, VideoIQ 800HD transforms video surveillance into a proactive, intelligent system for guarding against intruders, and gaining early warning of security breaches in nearly any environment," said Scott Schnell, president and CEO, VideoIQ. "With the release of streaming live video and the automatic email service, we are making it possible to provide that kind of proactive protection even when a guard is not on site. With our new enhancements, guards can remotely verify alarms, track intruders and respond to incidents within seconds of an alarm."

The new features of VideoIQ 800HD include:

Streaming live video: Designed especially for remote guarding applications, this new feature allows users to immediately see live video when VideoIQ detects an alarm. The VideoIQ 800HD opens live video from the camera that detected the intrusion, along with an alarm clip of the detected event. Users can review the video clip and live view, and can switch live video channels to see other cameras at the site, for full site awareness of the incident. Streaming live video is accessed remotely through the VideoIQ's Alarm Monitor software, introduced earlier this year, which enables monitoring and viewing of alarm events from thousands of channels of video across multiple sites or even across countries.

With this new addition of live streaming video, along with the recorded video clips that capture the alarm event, the VideoIQ 800HD can now be installed in many cases without the need for a DVR or other video streaming equipment, making installations far simpler and less expensive for many applications.

Automatic emails of alarms and video clips: VideoIQ 800HD has been further enhanced with an automatic email service that sends email alerts and video clips to any email address. Whenever VideoIQ detects an event, emails can be sent directly to any device supporting video email attachments or video mms, including cell phones, PDAs, or PCs, making it ideal for roaming guards or remote facility managers. Emails can be sent to as many as 32 addresses at the same time. The email service unlocks an entirely new application for video analytics: self-monitored systems. With this new feature, users can automatically have their video system notify and send them video clips of intruders or security breaches. If a cell phone is incapable of viewing video, the VideoIQ 800HD can send a single image of the alarm event. Or, an email-only alert can be sent without any images, notifying users to check their computers for the alarm clip.

"As a founding member of the Remote Guarding Alliance, VideoIQ is committed to finding new ways to enhance remote guarding capabilities that significantly impact how guards prevent security breaches on a daily basis," said Schnell. "The use of live video and video clips in conjunction with email alerts on any device -- PDA, cell phone, computer -- is a huge step in empowering our users to improve accuracy and responsiveness from any location, at anytime."
