Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp., to Testify at U.S. House Hearing

Congress Considering Small Business Alternative Energy Tax Policies to Lessen Dependence on Foreign Oil

PENNINGTON, N.J., Sept. 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTCBB:WWAT), a developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, has been invited by the U.S. House of Representatives, Small Business Committee, Subcommittee on Contracting and Technology to testify as an expert witness on the solar industry. The hearing, entitled "Small Business Renewable Energy Tax Incentive Possibilities" will be held September 26 at 9:30 a.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building. The Subcommittee is considering changes in the IRS code to promote renewable energy development and production among small businesses to help move the U.S. away from foreign sources of petroleum. Representatives of the wind, biofuel, and electric utility industries will join Kelly on the four-person panel.

"I'm honored at the invitation to testify and pleased at Congress's support of solar technology. Solar is quickly becoming a major component in business and government strategy across the country to fight soaring energy costs and keep U.S. industries competitive. Solar is now mainstream, cost-efficient and practical, and is being embraced by state and federal legislatures as a renewable energy source that leaves no dirty carbon footprint, improving air and water quality," said Kelly.

Quentin T. Kelly has been Chairman of WorldWater since its inception in 1984. He has many years experience in international business involving water and solar power needs in the U.S. and the developing world. He holds three patents relating to water and solar systems. In 1998, he was inducted into the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame. Earlier, Mr. Kelly was Assistant to the President of Westinghouse Electric Corp., and CEO of corporations manufacturing and marketing specialized water and solar systems internationally.
