Hart-Boillot Collaborates With Middlebury College on New Entrepreneurial Program

Intensive Midd CORE Program to Offer Foundation Knowledge in Creativity, Organization, Risk and Entrepreneurship

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - September 26, 2007) - Hart-Boillot, L.L.C., a business-to-business advertising and public relations agency, announced its collaboration with Middlebury College to create an intensive program in creativity, organization, risk and entrepreneurship.

Midd CORE will be an intensive four-week immersion program taking place during the Middlebury College Winter (January) Term. It is designed for students who are curious about business, social organizations and entrepreneurship, but are not necessarily economics majors likely to work in business-related settings after graduation.

"We want students to feel that they can study the subjects that they care about most while still learning skills that will be essential to post-graduate employment, no matter what career path they choose," said Michael Claudon, PhD, Economics Professor and founder of the Midd CORE Program. "CORE will enable students to gain critical foundation knowledge in an intense, fun, team-oriented and collaborative atmosphere."

"It's the kind of experience that would have helped me immensely in starting my own entrepreneurial career," said Nicolas Boillot, managing partner, Hart-Boillot. "I could have avoided many mistakes if I had participated in this kind of program. In my mind, Midd CORE will most significantly impact students who do not major in economics, be they geologists, actors or activists."

Midd CORE is in line with Middlebury's recently-announced multi-year Initiative to Support Creativity and Innovation in the Liberal Arts. Midd CORE will be taught collaboratively through experiential-based tutorials, case study sessions, individual classes and seminars. Participating students will learn about building and sustaining organizations and taking and managing risk in collaborative, team-based sessions led by experienced professionals. A flow of guest professionals from the for-profit and non-profit sectors will enhance the regular classroom curriculum.

In addition to Nicolas Boillot's time spent working with the founding team of Midd CORE, Hart-Boillot will support the program with an undisclosed donation.
