The Public Prosecutor decided to lodge an appeal in 2005. Heijmans was consequently also compelled to take this route in order to guarantee that the entirety of its position would be aired. Even at that time, Heijmans held that, in the interest of all parties, a line needed to be drawn under the affair. Heijmans is prepared to abide by the judgment. The company wants to focus on the future. The further improvement of the relationship between the construction industry and clients was the deciding factor in this respect.
