Over Half Would Help Someone Being Attacked / Even More Feel They Could Survive Being Stranded in the Wilderness


COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - October 2, 2007) - It can be debated whether Mother or Father knows best, but according to the latest BIGresearch American Pulse™ Survey of 4,043 respondents, they both know their children better than daycare, babysitters and relatives.

Other key findings:

--  50.9% would stop and help someone being attacked... 27.1% say it
    depends on if a weapon was involved. 20.2% wouldn't stop, but would call
    for help.
--  The majority of Americans appear to be good candidates for Survivor as
    65% say they could survive being stranded in the wilderness for three
    days... 26.3% aren't so sure.
--  46.5% aren't bothered when they are without their cell phone. However,
    the same is not true of 18-34 year olds... 25.7% are anxious and
    disconnected; 24.1% can only be without it for a limited amount of time.
--  Over one-third prefer to checkout with a cashier when shopping. 17.6%
    opt for the self-service line.
