Houston International Festival Selects Tendenci Software to Power Upgraded Web Site

iFest to Expand Online Educational and Marketing Outreach With the Help of Tendenci and True Light Resources

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - October 2, 2007) - The Houston International Festival (iFest) has chosen the Tendenci Web marketing software application (www.tendenci.com) to power its new interactive Web site. True Light Resources (www.truelightresources.com) has been selected to provide an array of online and offline graphic design services for iFest, including Web site, e-mail newsletter, volunteer pieces and print material.

The Houston International Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching Houstonians and visitors about countries and people around the world. Since its inception in 1971, the Houston International Festival has grown into one of the nation's largest urban festivals, with cultural entertainment and a world-class music lineup.

Tendenci will make it easy for iFest to incorporate many community-focused features into its Web presence. Tendenci's built-in Content Management System (CMS) will allow iFest staff and contributors to add Web pages, articles and press releases without needing to bother a Webmaster. This will enable contributions from the iFest's worldwide network of global supporters, scholars and leaders -- regardless of their physical location.

"We have been so fortunate to have such a strong and passionate international community of supporters -- whether it's for our education initiatives, our world music fans or our academic friends," said Tracy Golden, iFest Marketing Director. "It is beyond exciting for us to move forward with a strong online presence through Tendenci and to see how True Light Resources will help shape our marketing and advertising message."

Tendenci also automates many aspects of search engine optimization, which helps all content added to the iFest's Web site to rank higher in the search engines and further increase exposure of the organization's initiatives.

The International Festival will use its new online presence to help expand its year-long educational programs by providing Houston-area students with fun and interesting global news and trivia. The site will also be essential to future iFest attendees when planning their Festival visit.
