Impinj Appoints Leon de Ridder as Sales Director for Europe, Middle East, Africa

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - Leading UHF Gen 2 radio frequency identification (RFID) tag chip and reader supplier Impinj, Inc. today announced the appointment of Leon de Ridder as Director of Sales for the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Based in Zeewolde, the Netherlands, de Ridder joins Impinj after more than a decade at Omron Corporation (based in Kyoto, Japan), where he was most recently General Manager of the company's European RFID Division. He also held positions at Omron in Europe as General Manager, Advanced Modules Business Division and Sales Manager, Electronic Components Division. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Saxion Hogescholen, the Netherlands.

De Ridder's primary responsibilities are to direct Impinj's EMEA sales operations and growing channel support/reseller network. He will also direct Impinj's EMEA field applications engineering group headed by Senior Field Applications Engineer, Fabrice Zecca, who is based in Roquefort les Pins, France.
