ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - October 18, 2007) - E-Wire -- Joseph H. Highland, Ph.D., C.E.O.
of ENVIRON Holdings, Inc. (ENVIRON), and Fred Boelter, C.I.H., P.E.,
Founder and Chairman of Boelter Associates, Inc. (Boelter), have announced
the acquisition of Boelter by ENVIRON -- the largest single acquisition in
ENVIRON's history. Effective immediately, Boelter will conduct business as
ENVIRON.
In making the announcement, Highland commented, "Through working together
with Fred and his colleagues, we have been impressed by Boelter's technical
expertise, professional resources, industry reputation, and marketplace
presence, which are highly compatible with ENVIRON." According to Highland,
the acquisition is ideally aligned with ENVIRON's strategy of growing
through adding talent in complementary service areas and expanding into
geographic regions where clients would directly benefit from the firm's
presence. The addition of Boelter's professionals positions us to offer
clients an expanded array of environmental and human health consulting
capabilities, particularly in the areas of industrial hygiene and building
forensics.
Boelter commented, "We are delighted to be joining ENVIRON, a firm equally
committed to the goals of maintaining scientific integrity in client
engagements and delivering value that we believe is unique in our
industry." He continued, "Professional synergies abound -- our
architectural, scientific, engineering, and geologic practice areas
complement, expand, and add practical depth to ENVIRON's established
building energy conservation and indoor environmental quality practices.
Together we make a very strong team."
An international consultancy, ENVIRON works with clients to assess and
manage potential environmental, sustainability, and health issues
associated with their activities and products, both locally and globally.
The firm currently employs more than 1,000 individuals across a network of
70 offices in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Located in Park Ridge, Illinois, Boelter's professionals provide industrial
hygiene, safety, environmental engineering, forensic sciences, risk
management, and dispute resolution services to a wide range of clients,
including law firms, architects, developers/property managers, commercial
and industrial companies, universities, and local governments.
