Wall Street Journal Names Associate Publisher for ``Pursuits''

Journal's First Glossy Magazine to Debut in September 2008


NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Today, The Wall Street Journal named Jamie Friedman Altschul, associate publisher and advertising director of Pursuits, the Journal's first glossy magazine, which is scheduled to launch Sept. 6, 2008.

Ms. Friedman, 31, will be responsible for the day-to-day sales and marketing of Pursuits magazine. In addition to working with the Journal's existing sales and marketing teams, she will build and lead a core staff of Pursuits specialists.

Ms. Friedman joined the Journal in 2006 as multimedia sales director and has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the Journal's consumer advertising category, helping grow the business 96% during her time at the Journal.

Previously, Ms. Friedman was the sales development director of Vanity Fair. Prior to that, she held various positions at Town & Country Magazine, including advertising director where she played an active role in the development and launch of Town & County Travel.

Ms. Friedman is a graduate of Syracuse University and resides in New York City.
