EQUITIES Magazine's Transatlantic Conference and Closing Bell Ceremony At the NASDAQ a Huge Success

NEW YORK and LONDON, Nov. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- EQUITIES Magazine's Second Annual Transatlantic Conference was a huge success. Held at the NASDAQ MarketSite and at the London Stock Exchange, the event is covered in EQUITIES' November 2007 issue. "EQUITIES has done it again. I was impressed with the quality of the presenters and the audience, and I'm not easily impressed," said guest speaker Ken Fisher, CEO of Fisher Investments.

The keynote speaker in New York was Robert Greifeld, NASDAQ's president and CEO. NASDAQ lists more companies and trades more shares per day than any other U.S. market and it has further solidified its place in the world economy under Greifeld's focused leadership.

Thomas Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, was the first guest speaker in New York. In addition to running the world's largest business federation, Mr. Donohue is a member of the President's Council on the 21st Century Workforce and the President's Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. He spoke about American small businesses and the subprime mortgage crash.

Fisher was the second guest speaker. As CEO of Fisher Investments, Mr. Fisher is a capital-management pioneer and his often contrarian views on finance have made him one of the industry's most sought-after personalities. Mr. Fisher offered his insight on the market and discussed his latest book, The Only Three Questions That Count: Investing By Knowing What Others Don't.

After the presentations, attending CEOs took part in the NASDAQ's closing bell ceremony, along with EQUITIES staff and sponsors. The ceremony was broadcast live to financial media across the globe, including Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and Reuters, and is available to view at www.equitiesmagazine.com.

In London, the keynote speaker was Martin Graham. Mr. Graham is the director of markets of the London Stock Exchange and the managing director of the Alternative Investment Market. He also serves as a board member of FTSE International, the Indo British Partnership, and EDX (the LSE's equity-derivatives market). The guest speaker in London was Oxford Metrica chairman Dr. Rory Knight, who brings years of experience and insight to the conference. Dr. Knight serves as Dean Emeritus at Oxford University's Templeton College and is a member of the John Templeton Foundation advisory board.
