Information Technology Patent Developed by AlgoSec Co-Founder Wins Prestigious Edison Patent Award

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - AlgoSec today announced that a patent invented
by its co-founder Dr. Avishai Wool has won the prestigious 2007 Thomas Alva
Edison Patent Award for Information Technology. The award, from the
Research and Development Council of New Jersey, was presented to
Alcatel-Lucent for the patent by its Bell Labs research organization
entitled: "Method for Providing Long-Lived Broadcast Encryption."
The patent's inventors include Wool, a former Bell Labs employee who is
currently CTO of AlgoSec and an Associate Professor in the School of
Engineering at Tel Aviv University, Juan A. Garay and Jessica N. Staddon.
The US patent, #6839436, was recognized for its contribution to the
development of advanced digital rights management schema, for use in areas
such as digital video and IPTV.
