leading worldwide provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless
access networks, today announced that Tricom, one of the Dominican
Republic's leading carriers, has awarded Airspan a contract to supply its
WiMAX solutions in the licensed 3.5GHz frequency band in order to expand
their network.
Tricom is a full service provider and one of the largest data providers in

to provide additional broadband connectivity services in current and new
areas of service in the near term."
Airspan's HiperMAX Base Station and Indoor EasyST WiMAX modem support both
