ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., Dec. 7, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Readers on the lookout for a comprehensive, deliciously fascinating, and innovative documentation of Anglo-American history will do well by picking up a copy of a newly released book by Ralph Sanders with Carole Sanders and Peggy Sanders Van der Heide. In Generations (Xlibris Publishing), slated to hit bookstores this month, the authors bring forward a meticulously researched study that paints a vivid, detailed portrait of English origins and America's English heritage.
Generations, in general approach and content, strongly resembles Alex Haley's best-selling novel, Roots (1976, Dell), except that this work contains not a single strand of fiction. This collaborative effort chronicles thirty generations and a thousand years of the family evolution of the Sanders (and Saunders) family -- beginning during England's earliest days, and ending across the Atlantic in colonial Virginia and later Kentucky. Family figures are portrayed in their own distinctive historical contexts and an extensive genealogy focused on Old World lineage is appended. This work features nearly a thousand chapter notes on sources and names to assist readers interested in discovering their own ancestry.
The product of an extensive historical spadework, Generations casts a unique take on the fascinating biographical-historical literary work; the masterful blend of scholarly research and the author's passionate insight and riveting narrative will make it hard for readers to put down this book. Generations is now available online at www.Xlibris.com.
