SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Heritage Bank of Commerce, the operating bank of Heritage Commerce Corp (Nasdaq:HTBK), today announced that Cathy Raty has joined its management team as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Pleasanton. In addition, Marjorie Wong-Gillmore, Eija Sommerfield, Matthew C. Jameson and Jori Grant will partner with her to operate Heritage Bank's Pleasanton office.

Before joining Heritage Bank of Commerce, Raty was a Senior Vice President with Mt. Diablo National Bank in Pleasanton, California. With three decades of banking and finance experience, Raty has worked for Bank of Pleasanton, Community First National Bank and Bank of America. She earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology from San Jose State University. Raty serves on the Board of Directors for the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and on the George Spiliotopoulos Golf Tournament committee, raising funds for college scholarships in the Tri-Valley area.
Marjorie Wong-Gillmore brings 31 years of banking experience to her role as Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Formerly with Mt. Diablo National Bank, Wong-Gillmore has built a solid reputation in the community as a highly productive commercial banker. Formerly with the Bank of San Ramon Valley, Plaza Bank of Commerce and Security Pacific Bank, Wong-Gillmore earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics and Business Management from the University of California, in Davis. Active in the community, she serves on the Board of Directors of Rotary Club of Pleasanton and Child Care Links.
Eija Sommerfield joined Heritage Bank of Commerce as a Vice President and Relationship Manager. Formerly with Greater Bay Bank in Santa Clara and Pleasanton, Sommerfield has over 18 years of diversified and progressive experience in commercial lending and a proven track record in developing profitable banking relationships. She earned her degree in International Business in Finland.
Matthew Jameson, Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer, brings extensive experience in credit support, credit analysis, and loan servicing from his prior position as Vice President and Relationship Manager with Mt. Diablo National Bank. With over 20 years of banking experience, Jameson was formerly with Diablo Valley Bank, Bank of Walnut Creek and California Bancshares.
Jori Grant joins the team as AVP / Deposit Relationship Officer, with 25 years of business and banking experience. Formerly with Mt. Diablo National Bank in Pleasanton, Grant is a seasoned professional with strong business operational skills, from her work at Bank of America and with other local businesses.
