Gentex Shipping for 2008 Nissan Crossover

ZEELAND, MI--(Marketwire - January 16, 2008) - Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX), the leading supplier of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors to the worldwide automotive industry, has announced that it is shipping auto-dimming interior rearview mirrors for the 2008 Nissan Rogue. The Rogue is Nissan's first entry into the small crossover SUV market and it is being sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Nissan Rogue is available with an auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink® or with both a compass display and HomeLink® as part of an optional Leather Package on the AWD SL trim-level vehicles. The compass feature utilizes Gentex's proprietary Z-Nav® technology, a highly-accurate sensor that determines the vehicle's directional heading. Gentex mirrors darken automatically in response to the headlamp glare of rearward-approaching vehicles. HomeLink® is Johnson Control's fully integrated wireless control system.
