California Bank of Commerce Creates New SBA Division -- Opportunity Capital

LAFAYETTE, CA--(Marketwire - January 24, 2008) - California Bank of Commerce (OTCBB : CABC ), a
unique commercial bank in the San Francisco Bay Area targeting mid-market
businesses, today announced the creation of Opportunity Capital, a new
division to serve smaller businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area and
Northern California.
Opportunity Capital will focus primarily on extending loans guaranteed by
the U.S. Small Business Administration to owner operated businesses in the
Bank's market area. "This new Division will provide an outreach to small
and emerging companies in a way that will complement our current larger
middle market focus," said John E. Rossell III, President and CEO of
California Bank of Commerce.
Opportunity Capital will be headed by Mr. Bob McDoulett, Senior Vice
President. "Bob, like the rest of our senior team, has long experience and
an established record of success," said Rossell.
Mr. McDoulett's expertise is in secured lending and cash management. He is
accustomed to lending to a broad array of firms, but his particular focus
is on the wine industry, residential care homes, auto facilities, and
wholesalers. Among his clients are recipients of awards such as Northern
California Small Businessperson of the Year and Northern California
Exporter of the Year.
