informed us according to Section 21, par. 1 and Section 24 of the WpHG that
its voting interest in Norddeutsche Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany, ISIN:
DE0006766504, WKN: 676650 has exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights on January 18, 2008, and now amounts to 5.47% (corresponding to
2,237,754 shares).

Morgan Stanley, The Corporation Trust Company, Delaware, USA, has informed
us that its voting interest in Norddeutsche Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany,
ISIN: DE0006766504, WKN: 676650 has exceeded the threshold of 5% of the
voting rights on January 18, 2008, and now amounts to 5.47% (corresponding
to 2,237,754 shares) in relation to all shares of the respective voting
shares. The voting rights of Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, New York,
are attributed to Morgan Stanley The Corporation Trust Company, Delaware,
USA, pursuant to Section 22 par. 1 sentence 1 no. 1 of the German
Securities Trade Act (WpHG).
