On Wednesday, February 6th 2008 Tallinna Kaubamaja group signed the purchase agreement with Venus Kinnisvara AS in order to acquire 100% shares in Suurtüki NK AS and 100% shares in Suurtuki SIA. The acquisition of shoe retail network Suurtüki marks the continuation of Kaubamaja group strategy of active expansion in perspective businesses thus establishing supplementary synergy to current businesses. The shoe retail network Suurtüki Kinga- ja Nahaäri has been active since 1992. There are 15 stores active under the brand-name of “Suurtüki” located in Estonia: six stores in Tallinn, two stores in Tartu and Rakvere, one store in Maardu, Pärnu, Narva, Jõhvi and Kuressaare. There is one store in Tallinn and two stores in Latvia promoted under the brand-name “Stepper”. Suurtüki Kinga- ja Nahaäri is one of the leading shoe retailers in Estonia. Both sides have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The purchase price of the business deal remains under the limit regulated by stock rules.
