31st Network Member Website, GreenGolfCommunities showcases more than 50
master-planned golf and waterview communities in 16 states that have
demonstrated leadership in pursuing and promoting environmentally friendly

Qualifying communities are assigned to one of four categories -- Vanguard,
Steward, Sustaining and Participant -- depending on the extent of their
green programs and achievements. These designations are fluid in that a
community can move up (or down) based on new programs added in the future.
Each community can stand out in up to 18 different areas, ranging from
Significant Green Space, Staff Naturalist, Nature Center, Education &
Research and Habitat Restoration to Green Construction (LEED, etc.),
Conservation Foundation, Research Partnership, Volunteer Programs,
Archeological Preserve and participation in Audubon International's
Sanctuary program.
