PIMCO Hires David N. Fisher as Global Product Manager


NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - February 13, 2008) - PIMCO, one of the world's leading investment management companies, has hired David N. Fisher as an Executive Vice President and Global Product Manager.

Fisher will lead product management efforts for PIMCO's global investment strategies, which represent a dedicated asset base of $80 billion in developed market fixed income and related investments. He will be responsible for leading all aspects of PIMCO's global product area, including marketing, sales, business strategy, and new product development.

Fisher, a CFA Charterholder, comes to PIMCO from Halbis Capital Management, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Global Fixed Income. He previously worked in portfolio management with Credit Suisse Asset Management, and before that he was with Fisher Francis Trees and Watts. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University and has over 16 years of investment experience.
