On Saturday, 1 March 2008, Fray Bentos welcomed some of the most popular stars in Uruguay. Botnia, with the support of local authorities, organised a festival "SieteToques" with seven popular music groups. The entrance was free, but people were asked to bring food with them to be distributed through the local charity organizations for those in need. Botnia's personnel volunteered to assist in coordinating the food collection and distribution in the event. The festival was opened by Fatales por niños, a group specialized in entertaining children, at 5 p.m. The programme then continued with the groups Karibe con K, Mario Capdevila, Asaltantes con Patente and Dúo Cantaclaro. At this point the festival was threatened by a thunder storm and very heavy rain, but luckily the weather cleared and the people of Fray Bentos, who patiently waited in the rain, had the chance to see the main stars of the event, Jaime Ross and Buitres. It was estimated that in total the festival was attended by more than 10,000 people. "The festival was organised for the people in Fray Bentos, it was an evening to spend with your family and your friends to enjoy good music", says Florencia Herrera, Communications Manager for Botnia in Uruguay.
