iWay Software Achieves JIEM Certification

iWay Justice Support Team Provides Customers With Unmatched Level of Expertise

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 19, 2008) - iWay Software, an Information Builders company and an innovator of enterprise integration solutions, today announced that its Justice Support Team has achieved Justice Information Exchange Model [JIEM©] certification. JIEM was developed by SEARCH through funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, as a way to help jurisdictions across the country document their business information sharing requirements.

To achieve JIEM certification the iWay Justice Support Team participated in a rigorous training course and passed a proficiency exam that assesses the following:

-- Understanding of business process analysis.
-- Comprehension of the dimensions of information exchange embodied in
JIEM and its application to modeling information flow and business
    processes.
-- Ability to administer, manage, and enter information exchanges into
    the JIEM Tool.

"The JIEM standard is highly valued by our customers," said John Senor, president of iWay Software. "With our entire Justice Support Team completing JIEM training and achieving certification, we now have more JIEM trained support personnel than any other company in the justice space -- giving us an unparalleled ability to provide JIEM implementation expertise."

The JIEM Certification Program provides public- and private-sector individuals with in-depth instruction on JIEM and its components. These integrated components include the:

1. JIEM Methodology -- A structured, formally documented approach for defining and capturing information exchange requirements.

2. JIEM Reference Model -- Sets of information exchanges regarding business functions that are common to most jurisdictions and that have been defined and honed by other JIEM users.

3. JIEM Modeling Tool -- Easy-to-use software that enables justice practitioners to build a model of their "as-is" and "to-be" information exchanges.

"JIEM enables stakeholders and subject matter experts to work together to identify information sharing requirements," said Ted Desaussure, integrated justice manager for iWay Software. "Achieving JIEM certification enables us to provide customers with a more cost-effective solution and a faster speed of deployment."
