Corvette Enthusiasts Getting Revved Up for 27th Annual Car Showcase in Rosemont

Nickey Chicago Chevy Vettefest Presented by Bill Stasek Chevy Held April 5 & 6 at Stephens Convention Center

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire - March 26, 2008) - A bit of Detroit is coming to Chicago on April 5 and 6 as Detroit-based Championship Auto Shows holds its 27th annual Chicago Chevy Vettefest at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. This annual car enthusiast exhibit brings some of the nation's rarest, fastest, wildest and oldest Corvettes and Chevrolets to one location.

This year's event has a worthy cause in mind, as the event will host the 2nd Annual Charity Auction to benefit the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research and Awareness Foundation. This year's auction will feature a live auction of Chevy & Corvette memorabilia and parts hosted by Ride Again Auctions.

Also this year, Vettefest welcomes fire prevention program Rescue 1 Fire Safety for Kids, who will debut a 1948 Chevy Fleetline Aerocoupe called "Dragon Slayer" that will make the rounds at other Championship Auto Shows showcases and then eventually be auctioned off to benefit the fire prevention and fire safety education program.
