FINNAIR PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 27 MARCH 2008 AT 1415 GUIDANCE AT FINNAIR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: OPERATIONAL RESULT FOR FIRST HALF OF YEAR EXPECTED TO REMAIN AT LAST YEAR'S LEVEL Finnair Group's operational result (i.e. EBIT excluding capital gains, non-recurring arrangement expenses and changes in the fair value of derivatives) for the first half of the year is expected to remain at last years level despite the rise in fuel costs. Growth of demand is expected to continue and the price level is expected to remain almost at the same level as last year. In Asian traffic, unit revenues are on the rise. The high fuel price hedging rate and the weak dollar have alleviate the impact of strongly rising fuel costs. In the first part of the year, Finnair's demand, especially in Asian traffic, has continued to grow. Demand for Business Class travel on Asian routes is on the rise. Finnair's Asian traffic is expected to grow over 20 per cent from last year compared with the previous year. A third of Finnair's Asia-Europe passengers are from central and southern Europe, one third from the Nordic Countries and one third from Asia. Finnair Plc Communications 27.3.2008
