Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System to Deploy "Youniquely 4 U" Service in 16 Libraries throughout System

THOROFARE, NJ--(Marketwire - March 27, 2008) - Checkpoint Systems, Inc.'s (NYSE: CKP) Patron Services Division, the leading provider of technology-driven patron services for libraries, today announced that the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Public Library System in Albuquerque, N.M. agreed to implement Checkpoint's "Youniquely 4 U" (Y4U) service that helps libraries offer highly relevant programs and information to patrons based on their unique interests and needs.

The Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System first deployed Y4U at the Juan Tabo Library in late 2007. Based on the positive results from its implementation of Y4U, the first patron communications service of its kind ever to be introduced to the public library market in North America, the library entered into a three-year agreement with Checkpoint to expand Y4U to an additional 15 branches throughout the city and county. Launched last year, Y4U has already been deployed at a number of public libraries in various markets nationwide, generating exceptional response from patrons everywhere it has been implemented.

"The Y4U service allows library staff to touch their patrons when they are most likely to appreciate the bundling of information and resources to enrich their interests," said Julia Clarke, director of the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System. "The patrons at our Juan Tabo branch had a tremendous response to the program, so we are excited to roll it out to branches throughout our system."
