American Ecology Declares $0.15 per Share Quarterly Dividend

BOISE, ID--(Marketwire - April 1, 2008) - American Ecology Corporation (NASDAQ : ECOL ) today
announced that stockholders of record on April 11, 2008 will receive a
quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share, payable on April 18,
2008.
At December 31, 2007, the Company reported 18.3 million shares outstanding
and $14.8 million in cash and short-term investments on hand. The Company
estimates that approximately $2.7 million in cash will be paid out for the
declared quarterly dividend.
