STOCKMANN GROUP SALES IN MARCH 2008

POSTPONEMENT OF CRAZY DAYS CAMPAIGN IN FINLAND TO APRIL AND EARLY EASTER
AFFECTED NEGATIVELY ON SALES IN MARCH

As previously announced, postponement of Department Store Division's Crazy
Days campaign to April affected very negatively to Stockmann Group's sales
in March in Finland. Also Easter in March instead of April 2007 and three
trading days less affected considerably the sales figures in March.
Because of beforementioned reasons, the Group's sales in April will grow
markedly.

Stockmann Group's sales increased by 6 per cent to EUR 161.2 million. The
growth came totally from consolidation of the sales by Lindex into the
Stockmann Group's figures.

Sales of Department Store division decreased by 27 per cent. Sales were
down by 39 per cent in Finland and up by 14 per cent abroad. Sales were
good in Russia and Latvia.

Seppälä's sales decreased by 13 per cent. Sales in Finland decreased by 25
per cent and increased by 19 per cent abroad, mainly due to strong
development in Russia. Also sales of Lindex decreased in the main markets.
In March 2007 sales were very strong for both Lindex and Seppälä, whereas
April 2007 was a weak month.

Hobby Hall's sales decreased by 24 per cent, 23 per cent in Finland and 32
per cent abroad. For Hobby Hall, the monthly sales figures for January-
March are still affected by the new EPR system that was taken into use in
April 2007. As a consequence, sales are recorded later than in the
previous year.
