Paradigm Announces Three Additions to Its Board of Directors


CONCORD, CA--(Marketwire - April 17, 2008) - Paradigm Management Services, LLC, the nation's leader in providing catastrophic and complex medical management services, today announced three new members to its Board of Directors.

Roger Jenkins, Ph.D. has joined the Board and the Compensation Committee. Dr. Jenkins is the Dean of the Farmer School of Business at Miami University of Ohio and previously held the F.M. Kirby Chair in Business Excellence at Wake Forest University. He has held positions as President & CEO of a Knoxville, TN based management and marketing consulting firm and from 1993-95 he served as director, president and chief operating officer of Goody's Family Clothing, a national retail operation. He has been published in the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Research.

Jay Himmelstein, M.D. recently joined the Board and is the chair of the Medical Outcomes and Quality Assurance Committee. Dr. Himmelstein is Assistant Chancellor for Health Policy at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Himmelstein is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Occupational Health/Preventive Medicine. He was selected to be a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow and became a member of the health staff for the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee where he worked on issues of national health reform and integration of workers' compensation with other health and disability benefit systems. He is currently the Director of The Robert Wood Johnson Workers' Compensation Health Initiative. Dr. Himmelstein continues to maintain his health policy research interests including Medicaid policy and workers' compensation medical care.

Frederick M. Hudson has joined the Board of Paradigm and has been named chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Hudson retired from KPMG where he was partner in charge of KPMG's health care audit practice in the Washington-Baltimore business unit. This practice unit was KPMG's largest health care audit practice in the US. During his 37 year career, he has held a number of leadership positions in KPMG including Partner in charge of the private business advisory services practice and Venture capital liaison partner. His experience spans that of fast-growing emerging technology businesses to initial public offerings to acquisition-oriented Fortune 500 companies.
