WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - April 17, 2008) - The 12th Annual Webby Awards, which identify online excellence, have bestowed two awards on the Pew Forum's Religion & Politics '08 website; Official Honoree in the Religion & Spirituality category, and as one of five finalists for Best Politics Website of 2008. Q-Industries, a DC-based interactive firm that develops online brands and custom applications, helped produce the online resource, which features religious biographies, survey findings and must-read articles on all the major presidential candidates.

Described as "the Oscars of the Internet" by The New York Times, this year's Webby's contest received nearly 10,000 entries, from all 50 states and 60 countries. The Official Honoree distinction is awarded to work that scores in the top 15% of all work submitted for a Webby.

As part of a recent initiative to update the site, Q-Industries was engaged to provide web design, data integration and a content management system for Religion & Politics '08. Customized to share survey information, research, documents and articles with the public, the site's features include allowing users to compare summaries of the candidates' positions on issues such as abortion, gay marriage and the Iraq war, as well as Q&A discussions.
