Morris Architects Signs Two-Year Agreement for Newforma(R) Project Center Software

Email Management, Search, and File Transfer Functions Lay Foundation for Improved Contract Administration Process

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - April 24, 2008) - Newforma®, Inc., a software company addressing the project information management (PIM) needs of the design and building industry, announced today that Morris Architects, a 220-person design firm with 70 years of practice experience, has licensed Newforma® Project Center software for all of its offices, signing a new, two-year renewal agreement on the basis of the application's proven ability to streamline project process. Morris has chosen to implement Newforma's Express functionality for all addressable users at the firm to solve challenges with project email management, information searches and the electronic viewing and markup of files. Morris has also chosen to upgrade two-thirds of the firm's employees to Newforma's Professional functionality in order to better manage transmittals, submittals, action items, large file transfers, and the communication of other critical information with external project team members.

According to Director of Information Technology Michael Kennedy, Morris Architects had searched for years to find a tool to help streamline work processes such as contract administration (CA). "I had pretty much given up on finding software to effectively manage CA," Kennedy says, "but then I discovered the submittals management functionality in Newforma Project Center. It had all the prerequisite, ground-floor capabilities -- like fully-integrated email management, search and tracking -- that are needed to streamline more complex processes. And from the preview we have just had of the RFI and scheduling support in the upcoming Newforma Project Center Fifth Edition release, it is evident to us that Newforma is fully invested in developing more and more process-specific capabilities over time."

"Morris Architects embodies the forward-thinking mindset of leading AEC firms who are taking action to operate their firms more efficiently and profitably," said Newforma Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell. "We've developed our Newforma solution in response to the needs of these firms, and Morris Architects is among a group of our customers who have invested their valuable time to give us detailed product design input. As a result, they have a jump start on the industry by reaping the many time-saving benefits of Newforma Project Center and freeing up billable hours for everyone on their project teams."
