Strategic Environmental & Energy Resources Opens New Operations Facility in Texas to Service Growing Area Demand for Environmental Services
COMMERCE CITY, CO--(Marketwire - April 24, 2008) - Strategic Environmental & Energy
Resources, Inc. (SEER) (PINKSHEETS : SENR ), a leading provider of
technology-based industrial services in the environmental, energy and rail
transportation sectors, today announced that the Company's REGS, LLC
subsidiary (d/b/a Resource Environmental Group Services) has opened an
operations facility in Port Lavaca, Texas, to service growing demand in the
area for environmental services.
J John Combs III, president of SEER, said launch of the new Texas facility
is the culmination of three years of due diligence in a market many times
the size of the Denver/Rocky Mountain region where REGS has been primarily
focused. The new Texas personnel specialize in hydro-blasting and
hydro-cutting -- service offerings that complement REGS' traditional tank
cleaning, dewatering/centrifuging, and transportation services and that
will enable REGS to offer to its new and existing customers a more complete
and efficient service package. Combs added that the new Texas operation
underscores SEER's commitment to expanding its subsidiaries' site services
into new, fast growing and profitable regions.
"The Texas region has a high concentration of large refineries, as well as
chemical, oil services, plastics and manufacturing companies with
significant and ongoing needs for a variety of the environmental solutions
we provide," Combs said. "With current service providers struggling to
keep pace with demand, we made the decision to establish a full-service
operations facility staffed with highly trained industry veterans using the
best equipment available. With strong management and technical personnel,
we have already won profitable contracts and are building a backlog of new
business in the area. We expect our new operation to be cash flow positive
and contribute significantly to revenue and earnings in 2008 and beyond."
The new REGS facility is managed by industry veterans Bill Holladay,
general manager, and Howard Tillis, operations manager. Both Holladay and
Tillis have excellent long-term relationships with many current and
potential customers in the area as well as proven records for new business
development and, most important, excellent customer care. Joining them in
the new operation are three project supervisors, four specialty equipment
operators and four technicians. The total workforce of 13 has a combined
143 years of experience.
"REGS' operating history, strong reputation, and commitment to growth were
key factors in our decision to join the Company and help launch the new
Texas operations," said Holladay. "We are confident the Texas operations,
with our expertise in hydro-cutting and hydro-blasting, will enhance the
services base and profitability of other REGS locations around the
country."
SEER, through its REGS and Tactical Cleaning subsidiaries, now has
operations in Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Pennsylvania, and the
Company is evaluating additional locations where demand for its services is
strong, particularly in the area of railcar tank cleaning. Additionally,
SEER continues to explore opportunities with well established partners in
the Middle East region.
