Leading Architects and Engineers Select Newforma

Newforma Customers Include 47 of the Top 200 Architectural/Engineering Firms

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Newforma®, a software company addressing the project information management (PIM) needs of the design and building industry, announced today that it has surpassed 17,000 licensed users of Newforma® Project Center software as a result of continued customer acquisition in the first quarter of 2008. Newforma's customer list now includes 47 of the top 200 design firms, according to the 2007 Building Design & Construction Giants listing for the four categories of Architects, Engineers, Architect/Engineers and Engineer/Architects. The information for over 46,000 projects is now being managed by Newforma software, nearly double the number from the previous quarter.

Seattle-based Callison became a Newforma customer in the first quarter of 2008. Director of Information Technology Susanmarie Koenigs said the firm has adopted Newforma Project Center on the strength of the solution's promise to support a more integrated practice among project team members, inside and outside the firm. "At Callison, we're very focused on creating an environment that encourages a cross-pollination of ideas. Project information management solutions that support more effective communication and greater project visibility are an important contributor," said Koenigs. "Newforma has offered us a means to further our goal by significantly reducing the effort involved on the part of our busy professionals."

Newforma Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell believes that the adoption of Newforma Project Center by an increasing number of leading architects and engineers reflects a growing industry awareness of the imperative to operate at peak efficiency and productivity. "Our customers, no matter what their size, recognize the cost of inadequate project information management and its impact on the effectiveness of every employee in the firm," said Howell. "By deploying Newforma Project Center, these firms enjoy the competitive advantage of streamlined project process, reduced exposure to errors and omissions, repeatable best practices and improved communication in support of a more integrated practice. We remain committed to delivering exceptional value through our solution for firms who are growing, as well as those who are trying to do more without the inherent risks of hiring additional staff in the current economic climate."
