Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On May 05, 2008 , UBS AG, Zürich, Schweiz has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting Rights on
Altana AG, Wesel, Deutschland, ISIN: DE0007600801, WKN: 760080, have
exceeded the 3% and 5% limit of the Voting Rights on April 28, 2008  and
now amount to 5.87% (this corresponds to 8246325 Voting Rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG, 0.02% of
the Voting Rights (this corresponds to 24073 Voting Rights) is to be
attributed to the company.
