Avilar to Participate in Federal FasTrac Program Through Relationship With Amer Technology

Federal Agencies Turn to FasTrac for State-of-the-Art Training Products and Services

COLUMBIA, MD--(Marketwire - May 12, 2008) - Avilar, Inc., a leading provider of competency management and learning management solutions, today announced their acceptance by Amer Technology, a prime contractor for the FasTrac e-learning program, to provide web-based workforce development services to federal government organizations.

FasTrac is a federal program that provides a wide variety of e-learning and consulting products and services to federal government organizations at a pre-negotiated discounted rate. Through FasTrac, federal agencies can quickly and easily purchase products and services from industry-leading training companies. The FasTrac program, a government "learning solutions cooperative" was developed to foster cooperation among government organizations to maximize learning technology interoperability and eliminate redundant development of advanced learning technologies.

"Our acceptance by FasTrac as a qualified partner validates our ability to provide exceptional training and human capital management products with superior customer service," stated Tom Grobicki, Avilar's Chief Executive Officer. "Maximizing workforce performance is key to productivity and competitive advantages in both the public and private sectors. Through our solutions, federal agencies can effectively develop talent development programs that become an ongoing part of their organization's success."

In fall 2007, Avilar released new versions of its flagship products -- WebMentor Learning Management System (LMS) and WebMentor iSkills Competency Management System. The new versions of the products further improve the capabilities for Avilar's customers and partners to deliver and manage e-learning and talent management initiatives. Avilar's WebMentor iSkills competency management system enables organizations to better analyze organizational skill gaps and training needs, search their employee skills inventory and monitor changes in skills over time. Avilar's WebMentor LMS helps organizations better manage blended learning curricula and perform detailed analysis of course completion and training certification.

Joe Piazza, director of FasTrac program, said, "FasTrac is pleased to welcome Avilar into our federal government program. Avilar has consistently delivered results for its clients, and we're confident their human capital management products will be of great interest to federal agencies seeking to implement meaningful learning and development programs for their staffs."
