Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library Showcases Youniquely 4 U, New Customer Service for Stockton Residents, at Pair of Free Community Events

THOROFARE, NJ--(Marketwire - May 13, 2008) - The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library is showing off an exciting new program available to area residents at two different free community events this spring.

Last month (April 25th-27th), the Library hosted a booth at the 23rd Annual Asparagus Festival, where they introduced Stockton-area residents to Youniquely 4 U (Y4U), a new service from Checkpoint Patron Services that helps libraries offer highly relevant programs and information to patrons based on their unique interests and needs. Library staff members and Checkpoint representatives in the booth handed out information, prizes and gifts for people who signed up for library cards and Y4U.

This weekend (May 16th-18th), the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library will again partner with Checkpoint to host "Dia de los Ninos" ("Day of the Children") events at its Manteca (May 17th), Tracy (May 17th) and Cesar Chavez Central (May 18th) branches. These fun community events are designed for the entire family and will feature crafts, dancing, face painting, music, sidewalk art, and free snacks and refreshments. Throughout the weekend, all 13 library branches throughout San Joaquin County will be introducing the Y4U service to Stockton library members.
